I enjoyed fishing the St. Croix with you. You obviously know the river, and offered suggestions and encouragement during the day. Not having used a fly rod extensively for many years, I enjoyed the tips and instruction you gave. I need to take you up on your offer of lessons on double-hauling. I think what I appreciated most was the time you took with Larry, encouraging him in his efforts...it paid off with the beautiful fish he landed. It seemed to me like the day spent fishing with you was like fishing with an old friend.
